Situated on the western reaches of Sonoma Mountain, Sawkar Family Vineyards benefit from the maritime influences of the Pacific. Similar in climate to the Rhone, the Vineyards provide an ideal environment for the slow maturation of grapes.

Sawkar Family Vineyards was founded in 1998 by Raghu Sawkar, M.D., whose life-long passion for fine wines led him to the earnest art of winemaking. The vineyards rest on the Western slopes of California's Sonoma Mountains at a cool altitude of 1000 feet - the perfect climate for the growing of grapes. The soil is a beautiful marriage of clay and loam, flowering a majestic yield.
